If you want to see the beauty of Maui from high in the sky, look to West Maui Parasail for the adventures you seek. Their parasailing excursions put you a spectacular 50 stories above the ocean, treating you to truly phenomenal views all around. On top of that, sea turtle, seal, and dolphin sightings complete the experience beautifully.

All the action starts from two launch locations along West Maui. You can either depart from Kaanapali Beach near the Whalers Village or at slip 15 in the Lahaina Harbor. Either way, you’ll need to book your spot ahead of time because they stay busy all season long. Since whales migrate through the waters in the winter, they only offer parasailing adventures from May through December. Then, they take a break to let the whales migrate in peace.

To sign up for a trip, you just have to go to their website and select your desired departure location. Then, indicate how many people will fly with you. They have a solo, tandem, and triple excursions available, so you can fly alone or with one to two of your friends if you wish. You must verify that you all meet their weight restrictions, however, before signing up. When flying solo, you must weigh in at 150 pounds at least. Tandem and triple harnesses can only support up to 450 pounds at the max.

After you figure out who’s going to fly and from where, select your ideal date and time, and then select ‘Book Now.’ It’s that easy. Hoping to make same-day reservations? Just give the team a call to see if they have any openings. You’ll need to stay flexible with your flight times and departure locations in order to score a ride that day.

Once you’ve completed your bookings, leave your hotel early enough to find a parking spot and arrive at the pickup location 15 minutes early. When coming to the Lahaina Harbor location, park in a public lot of your choosing. Kaanapali Beach customers can park at Whalers Village or in a nearby public parking lot. Keep in mind that they do not offer parking validation at either site though.

At Kaanapali Beach, look for the team sitting under the happy face-adorned beach umbrellas. At Lahaina Harbor, you’ll find a booth instead. Either way, walk up to the crew and get checked in to kick off your wild ride. As soon as you’re ready to go, they’ll explain what to expect plus any safety precautions you need to know. Then, they will get you set up in the harness, attach it to their custom parasailing vessel, and away you go.

Within moments, you’ll fly up to around 1,200 feet in the air while their boat pulls you along the coastline. All along the way, you’ll get to take in the fantastic views all around while having the time of your life. In addition to all the most spectacular sights in Maui, you’ll also get a glimpse of nearby Molokai and Lanai. The experienced parasailing operators will control your flight from beginning to end, even bringing you down low enough to dip your toes in the water.

At the end of your trip, be sure to get the photo package. With that package, you get many high-quality photos of your adventures, leaving you with fun mementos to share with the world. You’ll get the pictures on a memory card, so you can print them out or just store them in your digital photo albums.
