In2Scuba Diving Maui Co offers lessons and dives for those staying in Kaanapali and Lahaina, and the staff specializes in first-time divers. Patient and personalized, the goal is to give every guest an introduction to the ocean they’ll never forget. Most notably, the company offers introductory scuba diving instruction for first-timers, perfect for anyone who isn’t certified. If you’re looking for a family-friendly place, you’ve come to the right spot.

Intro Lessons
While the company will take divers of all ages, they’re known for the work they do with kids. Unfortunately, not all businesses on the island will be able to teach the younger members of your family, which is why In2Scuba has become beloved by tourists who want to share their love of the water with their children.

On the intro course, which is also the most popular class the company offers, kids can dive alone with the instructor or alongside their family. All you need to take the course is a few hours of free time and a clean bill of health. (If your child has a pre-existing condition, like asthma, they will need to be cleared for the dive by a doctor.)The minimum age for diving is 10 years old. From 10 – 14, kids can get a Jr. Open Water Certification. With this designation, they’re allowed to dive with a certified adult up to 40 feet down. Once they’re 15, they can go for their Open Water Certification.

At In2Scuba Diving Maui Co, you’ll meet the scuba instructor known as Ty. This Master in Scuba Diver Training has taught tens of thousands of beginner courses, and he’s exceptionally proficient at connecting with kids, so they’ll have a fun and rewarding experience from start to finish. The beginner to intermediate dive is up to 47 feet deep, with visibility of up to 150 feet.

On your dive, you’re liable to use Manta Rays, Eagle Rays, Spanish dancers, fog fish, and plenty of coral. In2Scuba also offers designated dives to see specific sights. On your adventure you might see:

Turtles
Green Sea Turtles are known as Honu in Hawaiians, and diving with them is a popular way to get to know this incredible species. Thankfully, they’re known to frequent the water every time of year (and you may even see them onshore). If you happen to spot a turtle, have your scuba instructor snap a photo of you, so you have a souvenir you’ll always remember.

Sharks
Maui has a shark dive site where you’re likely to find White Tip Reef sharks. These beauties can be found just 10 minutes away from Kaanapali in Lahaina. There’s a 75% chance that you’ll run into sharks here, and intro beginners are welcome to try out this dive if they choose to take a second dive.

Night Dive
The Black Rock Night Dive is a great way to get up and close and personal in the dark. With nocturnal prowlers and hidden fish, you’ll get the chance to see eels, crabs, lobsters, and morays in their element. This is an excellent spot for photographers, as you’re likely to get some of your best shots here.

No matter what your experience is with scuba diving, just being on Maui can make you feel inspired to try it. At In2Scuba Diving Maui Co, you’ll find instructors who are as passionate about diving as they are teaching you how to do it too.
