Island Vintage Coffee on Maui draws coffee-thirsty tourists and locals every morning to its Whalers Village location. Freshly made fruit bowls, breakfast plates, sandwiches, and coffee drinks stand out from standard menu items you’ll find at other coffee shops. One taste of any of the menu items, and you’ll quickly realize why so many people are willing to wait in line for their orders here.

Located on the lower level of Whalers Village, this coffee shop is convenient to all the area resorts. You’ll see many tourists choosing to grab their breakfasts from here almost every morning of their stay in the Lahaina area.

There is limited seating inside, so don’t expect to come here for a long sit-down meal. You will find a handful of tables and chairs just outside the front door if you want to relax for a few minutes with your coffee before taking in the rest of Lahaina.

You’ll find a full menu of coffee drinks, sandwiches, breakfast plates, and fruit bowls. Plan to stop by at least twice if you want to sample a wider range of the menu than you can get from a single visit.

Make sure to try some of the following items from the menu at Island Vintage Coffee:

Acai Bowls
Don’t miss the acai bowls prepared with fresh, not frozen acai and in-house-made almond and peanut butter. Try one of these bowls for a light lunch or afternoon snack. They’re available all day. You also have the option of choosing gluten-free granola.

Mango and Peanut Butter Sandwich
This unique sandwich features fresh slices of mango, Big Island raw white honey, and coconut peanut butter on cranberry walnut bread. You’ve never had a sandwich like this before. It both comforts the mind and excites the tastebuds with its tropical twist on the old standby of a PB and J. You can substitute fresh papaya for the mango.

Island Latte Drink
If you want to enjoy a slightly nutty coffee drink, try the Island Latte. This signature drink of Island Vintage Coffee has subtle flavors of coconut and macadamia nut and a silky texture from a well-made latte. It has a perfect balance of sweetness. Even people who only drink drip coffee enjoy this flavorful latte. You have the option to choose this drink hot or iced. Order both types to see which you like better.

Island Style Plate
Try something different for breakfast by enjoying an Island Style Plate. This breakfast gives a twist to your standard American meal of bacon and eggs. On this platter, you’ll get fried eggs, papaya, rice with furikake, low-sodium shoyu, asparagus, and Portuguese sausage. Made with fresh, locally grown ingredients, this visitor-favorite breakfast platter might become your preferred meal at Island Vintage Coffee, too.

Treat yourself by nourishing your body with a flavorful fruit bowl, sandwich, breakfast plate, or coffee from Island Vintage Coffee in Whalers Village on Maui.

Insider Tips:
-Since this is the only coffee shop in the area, it can get very busy and sometimes chaotic in the mornings with lines forming as soon as the shop opens. If you want to avoid lines and long waits, visit later in the day for coffee and a light snack or meal.
-Pack your patience, especially when ordering food. Since everything is made fresh, some orders could take up to 20 minutes to prepare.
-Arrive early in the afternoon or morning if you want a breakfast plate, sandwich, or salad. The kitchen closes in the afternoon. You can still get coffee drinks and acai bowls up to closing, though.
