If you are visiting Maui and searching for some great food without a lot of fuss, Haven’s is just the place for you. Havens sources its food from local suppliers to provide fresh Hawaiian meals. In addition, everything is made to order, so you get fresh, great-tasting food every time you visit.
When we say simply without the fuss, we mean it.
The restaurant is located right by Shell Gas Station, just off the Piilani highway. While the location may not seem like much, the restaurant offers a fun atmosphere and, most notably, some great food.
Here are some of the menu items that you have to try when you visit :
Paniolo
Havens is known for its burgers, and you do not want to leave without trying one of the several options. We recommend the Paniolo. This fantastic and tasty burger is covered in barbecue sauce and served topped with onion rings, applewood bacon, pickles, and cheddar cheese. Make sure to grab some extra napkins because this burger is messy.
Wagyu Chow Fun
Noodles are another specialty of Havens, and you will immediately fall in love. Our favorite noodle dish is the Wagyu Chow Fun. These are noodles topped with mung bean sprouts, scallions, Oysteryaki, and short ribs. You cannot go wrong if you choose this excellent-tasting noodle dish.
Temaki
If you want to try various flavors, order the Temaki. You get your choice of three: Ahi tataki, spicy tuna, garlic crab, ponzu ikura, or unagi & avo. All of these are excellent choices and highly recommended.
Crazy Tots
No matter what you order, make sure you grab some crazy tots on the side. Who knew that tater tots could have so much flavor? These crazy tots are covered in kimchi mayo, kimchi, and furikake and topped with scallions. The spiciness and flavor of these crazy tots are indeed an experience.
Crinkle Fries
Of course, if you are having a burger, you need some fries to go with it. The crinkle fries are fresh, made to order, and are everything an excellent french fries should be. If you want to add something to your fries, consider ordering the Kolohe fries. These fries come packed with caramelized onions and are covered in cheez wiz. On top of this delight is the OG sauce, which is delicious.
