Prepare for a scrumptious treat when you hit the 808 Deli. It’s easy to find on South Kihei Road, especially because it’s only a hop, skip, and a jump from Kam 2 Beach in Kihei Maui. It’s a little deli tucked right behind Fred’s Mexican Cafe. You’ll love the beach-inspired vibe. Flip-flops and bathing suits approved. You don’t have to worry about the dress code here. Walk up and get ready for the most flavorful salads, gourmet hotdogs, and specialty sandwiches Hawaii has to offer.
Here’s a tidbit to whet your appetite. 808 Deli is so good it is voted Best Sandwich every single year since 2009. You’ll see all the awards proudly hanging on the wall inside the deli. This is the place to grab a bite to take along for a day on the beach or enjoy on a picnic table underneath a palm tree that overlooks the ocean. A good choice for a bite on the beach or a long drive is their boxed lunch. It’s everything you need for an on-the-go meal and includes a sandwich, chips, homemade cookie, and a drink.
We recommend sticking around and enjoying the view, though before you go. Start your day with one of their delicious breakfast sandwiches. You choose your meat, cheese, and bread just how you like it. Try something different like their Bagel and Lox or Yogurt Parfait. Take a load off on one of the 808 benches that are handcrafted out of surfboards and people watch for a while. Whatever you do, make sure you stop by. It’s a feast for your stomach and a feast for the eyes. They are open daily from 7 am – 5 pm.
Everything on the menu is made to order with the freshest ingredients, all sourced from the Island. You have to try one of their most popular paninis, The Porkie. It’s made from Hawaiian pork, sweet mango salsa, pepper jack cheese, on rye bread. It’s served with sweet chili dipping sauce. All the paninis are over the top, full of fresh flavors, all pressed warm and crisp. Every bite is dynamite! If you are a hotdog fan, their kosher Hawaiian gourmet hotdogs are out of this world. They are only a few bucks, and you can top them with a wide array of toppings. Pick your favorites: avocado and mango salsa, and sauerkraut are just a few. Ask for the house-made kimchi topping that adds a kick of crispy crunch, to an all-American favorite.
Check out all the dogs on the menu. It’s cool because vegetarians can join the fun. Select either a quarter-pound all-beef kosher dog or a tasty veggie dog.

It’s hard to choose when their selections include chocolate, coconut, banana cream, chocolate banana peanut butter, snickers, pistachio salted caramel, lilikoi, or kimchee. You can’t go wrong because all their puddings are delicious. Pudding, not your thing? No Hawaiian worries. The 808 home-baked gigantic chocolate chip cookies or their extraordinary candied pecans are your keys to satisfying your sweet tooth. Aloha!
