There’s more to G’s Juicebar than drinks. Based upon the rave reviews, maybe they should add “acai bowls” to their name!
G’s Juicebar is one of several small businesses sharing a building near the Waimea Theater. The family-owned store has been serving the Waimea area since 2014. Sunday is the only day they are not open, and street parking is limited. G’s Juicebar is a beacon of healthiness, serving smoothies, fresh-squeezed juices, and acai bowls. The ambiance inside is warm, inviting, and vibrant in color.
Customers rant about how friendly the staff is and that the food is delicious and fresh. What we found interesting is that the majority of diners praised the acai bowls. This doesn’t mean G’s Juicebar can’t whip up a killer smoothie or juice; they can. It’s that they have the market cornered for serving some of the best acai bowls on Kauai.
Before we discuss these amazing bowls, let’s check out G’s Juicebar drinks. After all, they are a juice bar!
Here are some standouts at G’s Juicebar:
The Michaelangelo has freshly squeezed orange, pineapple, carrot, lime, and ginger.
The Donatello uses local beet, apple, ginger, and lime
The Hydrator has cucumber, ginger, pineapple, and apple.
All juices are 12-ounces, and for an additional amount, you boost your juice with spirulina, cayenne, or turmeric.
They have a variety of juice shots like Polihale Heat which consists of pineapple and ginger. As with the juices, you can add spirulina, cayenne, or turmeric for an additional cost. In addition, they serve kefir water in various sizes and jars.
It’s time to move on to smoothies!
The Hula Girl has local mango, strawberry, banana, and mango juice.
If you need something bolder, try The Ironman. Hemp protein, peanut butter, banana, dates, cinnamon, and kale are blended into almond milk for a rich, filling smoothie.
Or keep it simple with The PB&J. All-natural peanut butter is mixed with banana, strawberries, and almond milk.
Now for the acai bowls at G’s Juicebar!
We’ll start with the newest addition: Avatar
This 16-ounce blend of organic bananas, blueberries, acai, and rice milk is topped with more bananas, blueberries, granola, coconut shavings, bee pollen, and honey.
The Marley Bowl
A blend of acai, kale, rice milk, strawberries, and bananas. Topping the bowl is hemp seed, coconut shavings, bee pollen, granola, banana, and honey.
Rambla Bowl
A blend of acai, cacao powder, almond milk, and bananas. Next, cacao nibs, crushed almonds, granola, banana, hemp seed, and honey top this delicious bowl. Toss in an add-on like peanut butter, and you’ll be wondering if it’s an acai bowl or a Reese’s Cup!
Speaking of add-ons, G’s Juicebar has a slew of options to choose from to customize your acai bowl and smoothies. Some examples are chia seeds, crushed cashews, kale, and vegan protein.
Whether you finished a grueling hike or you’re merely looking for healthy food alternatives, we strongly suggest going to G’s Juicebar. This quaint shop is big on flavors, freshness, and quality.
