For over 45 years, Kimo’s Maui has proudly served as the place to go for decadent island favorites and the drinks to match. Set right along the waterfront in historic Lahaina, this casual eatery treats you to phenomenal views of the oceanside all throughout your meal.
In their upstairs dining room, the interior décor is equally striking with its koa-lined walls and maritime décor from end to end. Right outside its doors, you can find their lovely lanai, which boasts a chill ambiance perfect for enjoying after-dinner drinks and live music.
Many families have made it tradition to come to this restaurant as a part of their Maui explorations. The tables fill up fast all year long as a result, so you definitely need to book your spot well ahead of your trip. Thankfully, you can easily do just that through their website or by giving them a call. If you cannot manage to get a spot, you can still get a taste of their fantastic foods by ordering takeout instead.
The real magic is in dining inside the restaurant, of course, especially if you want to savor the views and enjoy the live entertainment. Upon getting a table, expect friendly service immediately upon arriving at the restaurant. The team puts the aloha spirit at the center of all they do, after all, ensuring that you’ll have a truly memorable dining experience.
They put just as much care into handcrafting all the dishes and drinks on their menu, too. Only the finest ingredients go into the creation of each item, allowing you to delight in all the best island flavors. In fact, their menu changes with the seasons, reflecting what’s available from local farmers, ranchers, and fishermen.
Your server will let you know what’s available during your visit and help guide you to the selections that’ll tantalize your tastebuds the most. Also, take the time to ask your server what drinks to pair with your meal. Then, kick back and wait for the magic to happen. After your meal, continue sipping on your beverages of choice at the bar while enjoying live music 7 days a week from 6 PM – 8 PM.

Fire Roasted Vegetable Dip
For a taste of all the freshest island veggies, start your meal with the Fire Roasted Vegetable Dip. They make this popular app by pureeing roasted squash, vine-ripened tomatoes, bell pepper, and garlic. Then, they pop it into the chiller until perfectly cool. Once it’s ready to go, your dip comes with Maui’s Surfing Goat Dairy cheese and herb-grilled flatbread.
Fish ‘N’ Chips
Although it might seem like a simple dish, the Fish ‘N’ Chips is anything but ordinary. They make this popular entrée by coating the fresh catch of the day in Maui Brewing Co. Bikini Blonde Lager batter and frying it until golden brown. After that, the fried fish goes on the plate alongside fresh fries and crunch apple cider coleslaw. Housemade tartar sauce lands alongside for dipping right before serving.
Prime Rib
The Prime Rib is only available for a limited time each night, so get it whenever you can. To create this exclusive entrée, they roast a Double R Ranch prime rib to perfection. Depending on your selection, you’ll get either a 12-ounce Molokini or a 24-ounce cut. Along the side, they add mashed potatoes, horseradish sour cream, and housemade au jus.
The Hula Pie is world-renowned, and for good reason. A decadent chocolate cookie crust cradles a huge serving of macadamia nut ice cream to kick things off. Then, they add hot fudge, toasted mac nuts, and whipped cream to finish it all off. This pie is so good that for many years they didn’t even have any other desserts on the menu. So, be sure to save enough room in your belly to avoid missing out.
