Your experience when visiting Hanalei Day Spa can be as unique as you are. You can choose from a wide variety of services including four hands massage, deep tissue, Hawaiian style, or the Lomi Lomi massage. You can also add a hot stone massage or full body exfoliation, which comes with gloves for you to take home and continue your treatment. Combine several services or stick with just a light pressure basic massage.
You can choose from many massage lengths, ranging from 50-minute experiences up to 110 minutes. These can include in-spa services, or you can take it beach-side. You can also choose from either couples or singles massages that range in length as well or opt for a package that combines a few of the spa’s other accompaniments and services.
Another service you can enjoy at the Hanalei Day Spa is the Ayurveda Treatment. “Ayur” means life and “veda” means science, Ayurveda is the 7,000-year-old science of life. You can access this treatment by speaking with spa director Darci Frankel, a cleansing and rejuvenation expert, who will customize your experience to your unique needs after going through a consultation.
The Ayurveda consultation can be completed either in person or via zoom. It will consist of pulse/tongue analysis and consider daily habits and overall health. Once the consultation is over, a preferred treatment will be chosen for you based on your answers to various questions. The options include the Shirodhara, which removes stress from the mind, deeply conditions the hair, pacifies depression, addictions, and panic attacks, and balances emotions. This one-hour deep state relaxation treatment allows you to emerge feeling as if you just completed a deep, blissful meditation.
The other option is the Abhyanga Warm Oil Massage. This one-hour traditional rhythmical massage comes from ancient India. It includes warm oil that is massaged into the body. This is considered a must for seasonal cleansings, rejuvenation, and stress relief. It is also believed to balance the five pranas of the body and includes marma point therapy, which is an Ayurvedic acupressure point.
If you want to experience even more than this, you can go even deeper with the Pancha Karma. This is a comprehensive cleansing and rejuvenation program. It was originally created for the royal family and is purposefully designed to extend life. You can opt for a three, five, or seven-day treatment. Each rejuvenating treatment includes a luxurious four-hand warm-oil Ayurveda massage, steam treatments, and other treatments that are specifically designed to cleanse the body of deeply embedded toxins.
