Potions serves kombucha and vegan food, with a heavy emphasis on the kombucha. The atmosphere is as eclectic as the beverage offerings, making this one place where you can get an authentic kombucha bar experience.
The kombucha that Potions offers is all draft, and there’s virtually no limit of potential concoctions. Four different taps pour out different kombucha bases, to which any number of botanicals and other shots can be added. As the barmaster about the house’s Designer Potions, or build your own by picking and choosing.
Should you find a new favorite kombucha creation, any concoction can be taken home. The tea is served by the pint, quart, half-gallon, and gallon, although you should bring your own growler with you. Of course, there’s plenty of glassware if you wish to dine in.
Complementing the kombuchas is a rotating selection of daily vegan foods. Although these aren’t as plentiful as the kombucha concoctions, a handful of veggie-based dishes will please those who prefer to eat this way.
All of this is served in an atmosphere that’s exactly what you’d expect of a kombucha bar. Colorful lanterns, bright pink walls, and India-inspired cutouts are just some of the decor that makes the inside stand out. While the place might not be too enticing outside, the interior is a must-see.
Kombucha isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and many people aren’t strictly vegan. If these are your preferences, though, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better (kombucha) bar on the island.

Build Your Own Potion
You know best what your body needs and likes. Use that knowledge to craft a killer connection of kombuchas and mix-ins. Botanicals and flavorings are all available to add by the shot.
Detox while you unwind on the island. The Circuit is a specially crafted progression for detoxing. The Ginger Ginseng (pre-tox), Fruit Cocktail (de-tox), Chocolate Pepper (de-tox) ad Dandelion & Burdock (post-tox) have you covered for four days straight.
Vindaloo Curry Sauce
Not for the faint of heart, this is one of the few Very Hot dishes that are ever on the menu. A sweet, spiced tomato sauce is loaded with cayenne pepper that’ll have you reaching for more to drink — ask to have water along with your kombucha.
Sweet Mango Chutney
Sweetness with a bite. The Sweet Mango Chutney has sugar, ginger, vinegar, and spices that combine for a unique taste that you probably wouldn’t create on your own. Add it to any food on the menu for a little tropical twist.
-Don’t know which kombucha to get? Ask for a sample of the options, and then choose which tastes best. The owner Gadal is usually behind the bar, and he’s always willing to share both samples and knowledge.
-Better bring your own tumbler if you want a glass to go. Gada takes the plastic cup issue seriously and doesn’t have cups to go.
