Island Vintage Coffee has been serving 100% gourmet Kona coffee since 1996, focusing on crafting the perfect cup of coffee served with Aloha. The beans are roasted daily to ensure freshness, and attention to detail goes into every step of the process. There are three Island Vintage Coffee locations in Oahu. One is in the Ala Moana Center near the Center Stage, and the second is in the Haleiwa Store Lots across from Matsumoto’s Shave Ice.
We’ll focus on the third store in the heart of Waikiki, located on the second floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center. This shop is popular because the ocean view from the covered porch is breathtaking. There’s nothing like grabbing a drink and having breakfast while savoring the sea breeze and scenery.
Before looking at their food menu, let’s explore coffee and other assorted drinks at Island Vintage Coffee:
Brewed Coffee
For those that love a “no frill” cup of java, you’ll enjoy savoring one of their pipping hot Kona coffees in either a small or medium size. They also offer cold brewed coffee along with hot and iced tea.
Espresso Drinks
A popular drink at Island Vintage Coffee is their Island Latte. It has a balanced sweetness using macadamia nuts and a hint of coconut. The Hawaiian Honey Latte laces 100% Hawaiian honey with cinnamon for the perfect blend of sweetness and caffeine. Customers also rave about the Lava Mocha and compare it to having a dessert! Baristas combine espresso, dark chocolate, and sea salt caramel to create a decadent delight.
Plant-Based Drinks
The baristas at Island Vintage Coffee can create several delicious brews if you need a vegan beverage. The Maui Lavender Latte uses oat milk fused with house-made vegan lavender “honey.” Another popular drink is the Organic Hojicha Latte, combining toasted green tea and oat milk to create a smooth yet nutty-tasting beverage.
Frozen Kona Coffee
If you’re looking for a drink to satisfy your sweet tooth, consider a frozen coffee that’s more like a smoothie! The Vintage Kona Mocha combines Kona coffee with macadamia nuts, coconut, peaberry coffee chips, and dairy for an out-of-this-world taste sensation. Other varieties include banana, coconut, macadamia nut, and caramel.
Next, let’s explore some of Island Vintage Coffee popular acai bowls:
Original Acai Bowl
This staple starts with acai and then is topped with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. The Original Acai Bowl is soy milk based.
Moana Bowl
The base of the bowl consists of organic acai, tropical fruits, bananas, cold-pressed apple juice, and almond milk. Topping the base is frozen haupia cream, shaved coconut, berries, local banana, papaya, Big Island organic honey, and organic granola.
