Located in Lahaina on Maui’s western shoreline, Lahaina Divers ia multi-faceted dive shop and tour guide outfit. If you are looking to go on a diving exploration, then this should be one of the first big shops you look to.

You’ll find Lahaina Divers just one block from the harbor in downtown Lahaina, on the corner of Luakini St. and Dickenson St. Theirs is a two-story white building with windows full of diving supplies. You may even recognize this storefront if you are a Discovery+ fan as Lahaina Divers was the dive shop Guy Fieri dived with on his television series Guy: Hawaiian Style. If you have already booked a diving charter or tour with them, then you might not meet at their storefront location but rather at Lahaina Harbor, a series of docks within walking distance of the store.

Lahaina Divers has been in operation since 1978 and earned a reputation for being a particularly stellar diving charter for new or otherwise inexperienced divers. They are exceptional at getting new divers more comfortable with diving equipment and learning how to make the most out of their time underwater.

This diving outfit is also a good choice for those concerned about the boating experience inherent in getting out to dive spots. That’s because they have some of the most spacious, innovative watercraft for diving on the island. They have twin 46′ boats built in the United States and named Dominion and Dauntless. Both have huge diesel engines and a huge interior space that includes two fully-outfitted freshwater showers, disabled accessible boarding and bathroom, easy-to-access water ladders, and a flybridge with comfortable seating.

Yes, those disabled-accessible bathrooms were installed for use by disabled divers. Lahaina Divers is one of the few dive shops in this area to be Handicapped Open Water Dive Buddies certified. This means that if you or if you have a member of your party that is physical or developmentally disabled and want to experience the beauty and wonder of underwater diving, Lahaina Divers is here for you.

If you are looking to book a charter with Lahaina Divers, you have several popular options to choose from. This dive company’s most regular dive charters include:

Dive Molokini Crater
This 5.5-hour morning charter is a great choice for those wanting to see what is the most popular place to dive in Maui’s coastal waters.

Dive 3 Tank Lanai
This is a special 7.5-hour dive that only happens on Thursdays. It involves an advanced drift dive off of Lanai and includes several unique locations.

Dive Hammerhead
Not for the faint of heart, this is an adventurous 5.5-hour dive that happens twice a week. It involves an incredible drift dive off of Molokai through several hammerhead shark-heavy areas.

Dive Lanai Cathedrals
The highlight of this 5.5-hour dive is, of course, the Lanai Cathedrals. The Lanai Cathedrals is a remarkable dive spot featuring pockmarked lava tubes that have an ethereal glow due to how the light streams down through them.

Note, there is very rarely a situation in which the weather is too rough for scheduled dives. What this means is that come big waves, your charter with Lahaina Divers is probably going to still depart. Make sure to take Dramamine or use some other type of anti-nausea medication if you are prone to motion sickness and nausea in such conditions.

Insider Tips:
-The dives for these boats fill up fairly quickly. You will generally see all dive spots filled the week of and most two weeks prior. Therefore, while you don’t have to book months in advance, you should start thinking about booking at least one month before your scheduled trip. This is especially true if you are booking with a larger group.
-There is no parking at the shop itself, but you can find a free parking lot just one block down on Luakini Street. Do not confuse this with the paid parking that is located one block northeast on Dickenson St! Get the free parking and Lahaina Divers will truck all your gear over.
