Waikiki Brewing Company’s Lahaina outpost makes its home on Front Street, amidst the shops and restaurants of the Outlets of Maui. This popular outdoor shopping area houses local boutiques and well-known brands in a pretty, relaxing setting. If you’re looking for a place to stop and grab a bite during your travels, we suggest checking out Waikiki Brewing Company.

The bright, spacious restaurant feels almost industrial, but in an inviting way. A large bar is the centerpiece of the room, surrounded by low- and high-top tables set on shiny concrete floors. In one area, you can see brewing equipment used to create their various craft beers. TVs line the walls, making this a great place to post up and watch your favorite sporting event.

Large, open-air windows give the establishment a cool and refreshing feel. And perhaps the best part of this location? The view. Situated right across Front Street from the ocean, Waikiki Brewing Company offers up stunning panoramic views of the water from their outdoor patio seating.

But let’s get back to the real stars of this place – the food and drink. Open for lunch and dinner, Waikiki Brewing’s main menu offers a variety of appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches, smoked meats, and other house favorites. On weekends, they serve up brunch items like brisket and gravy, avocado toast, brewery benedict, and breakfast tacos.

They always have their “core nine” drafts on tap, as well as rotating seasonal and limited release selections. In addition to traditional mixed drinks, they’ve concocted beer cocktails that combine their beers with unique and interesting ingredients.

Here are a few of our must-have items:

Jalapeño Mouth
This award-winning beer is a favorite at the brewery. Fresh jalapenos are added into an amber ale to create a uniquely sweet and spicy flavor profile. We loved the refreshing coolness of the beer combined with the heat of the pepper. Pro-tip: This beer is also available in to-go cans. Take some with you to enjoy throughout your travels.

Bavarian Pretzel
Find us a more perfect combination than beer and pretzels. Go ahead. We’ll wait. In our book, soft pretzels and beer are a match made in heaven, and Waikiki Brewing certainly didn’t disappoint on this front. Their Bavarian pretzel is warm, flavorful, and absolutely huge. It’s perfectly finished with IPA beer salt and served with a side of Jalapeño Mouth queso. This is a great appetizer to share as a table!

Onion Rings
Onions rings are just onion rings. They can’t be that special, right? Wrong. We don’t know how they do it, but trust us when we say these things are next level. Sweet onions combine with delicious breading and are fried to sublimely crisp perfection, creating a ridiculously satisfying bite. Pair these with an ice-cold drink, and you’re in business.

Superfood Salad
For those looking for something a little lighter, but equally delicious, we recommend this creative salad. Shaved celery, candied macadamia nuts, pickled onion, carrot, and chickpeas sit atop a bed of arugula, kale, and red quinoa. A lemon vinaigrette ties the whole dish together. This salad is sweet, savory, tart, and has just the right amount of crunch.

BBQ Brisket Sandwich
A grilled baguette is stuffed to the brim with sliced smoked brisket, house BBQ sauce, and superfood slaw. On the side, have your choice of French fries, sticky rice, or potato mac salad. This heaping helping of down-home deliciousness will leave your tastebuds happy, and your tummy full.

Stop in for the food, stay for the views, and let us know what your favorite bite was at Waikiki Brewing Company.
