When you want to experience all of Kauai in a couple of whirlwind trips, you need to join the Best of Kauai Tour for fun and adventure. You can either join their regular tour of the North Shore and East Side areas or go on a private exploration all your own. Either way, you’ll get the full rundown of all there is to see and do across the island, helping set the stage for a wonderful trip.

On their basic Best of Kauai trip, you’ll spend six to seven hours exploring the northern and eastern sides of the Island. Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in a comfy Sprinter van before jetting you off on a sightseeing tour to remember.

As you follow the coastal roads around all the most magical sights, your guide will share interesting facts about the history and culture of this awe-inspiring region. Expect exciting stops at beaches, waterfalls, and other amazing sights, so you can experience all the best island landscapes.

After that, you can hop aboard a Wailua Riverboat for a cruise up to the breathtaking Fern Grotto. All along the ride, the cruise boat crew keeps everyone entertained with Hawaiian stories, songs, and hula dances galore. You can even get in on the fun by learning a few key hula moves and trying them out to the music.

In between all your adventures, you’ll get a chance to stop somewhere fantastic for a tasty lunch. Although undoubtedly delicious, be sure to save a little tidbit for your next stop. You’ll be glad you did since the guide often swings by his home to show all the tour guests his not-so-wild boar pet. You can feed the boar a few scraps of lunch and watch in awe as he gobbles them down. Then, your guide will bring you right back to your hotel to complete your tour experience.

In the past, they offered an air tour at the end of these adventures, but for now, it’s on hiatus. So, you’ll just have to make do with the land and river tour. If you’d like to take your explorations to the next level, you could go on their Private Tour instead.

The Private Tour puts you in charge of the route and timing of each stop, so you can explore the island at your own pace. Available for up to 12 guests, this trip takes you on either the North & East Shore Route or the South & West Shore Route. Want to see it all? Just book two tours on back-to-back days, so you don’t miss out on any of the sights.

No matter which route you’ll take, your group will ride in style in their Mercedes Sprinter, Cadillac Sedan, or Lincoln Navigator, depending on how many are coming along. As with the basic tour, your guide will keep you well-informed and wholly entertained with fun facts, stories, and more. In the middle of your explorations, you’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before completing your route and heading back to the hotel.
