Ha Coffee Bar is on a mission. They not serve some of the best coffee in Lihue but also help the community. Even their name reflects their purpose. “Ha” means “breath of life” in Hawaiian, and Ha Coffee Bar has been a haven for locals to gather, share life, and work in harmony.

Ha Coffee Bar is a non-profit that a local church, Seaside Kauai, owns. Employees earn a wage and insurance, but any other profits, the store resources back into other projects within the community.

This coffee bar is on a mission. They have partnered with Kauai Beer Company who has allowed them to share their store and sell coffee in the mornings.

All of this is fine and good, but like you, we’re wondering: how is the coffee? For starters, visitors to Ha Coffee Bar voted it #1 on TripAdvisor for the best coffee in Lihue. Next are the rave reviews found on platforms like Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Facebook. Lastly is the fact that they only use locally sourced coffee beans from Kauai.

One customer’s review stated that they ordered a basic coffee with local honey. They described it as “drinking liquid heaven.” Someone else pointed out that Ha Coffee Bar uses the french press method to brew their drip coffee, making for an exceptional beverage.

Here are some of their coffee selections:

  • The Samoan

Ha Coffee Bar has a variety of milk to choose from, like almond, soy, oat, and coconut milk. They also have many flavors you can add to your coffee, like hazelnut, frosted mint, agave, and mac nut, to name a few.

Tea lovers will love to try any one of the assortments they carry and classics like chai and iced tea.

Ha Coffee Bar also serves food. The bagels they use are made fresh on Kauai and come in the following flavors:

For an additional cost, you can add cream cheese or hummus or make it into a sandwich.
