Are you looking for an amazing way to explore all the ocean wonders along the Kohala Coast? All you have to do is sign up for a trip with Mauna Lani Sea Adventures. On their tours, you can go scuba diving, snorkeling, whale watching, and so much more. They even have private charters for when you want to treat your friends and family to ocean explorations to remember. Then, once you’re ready to head out on your own, gear up for more fun with all their rental equipment.

To sign up for their adventures, you just need to go to their website and select your trip of choice. Then, indicate your ideal departure date and time to book your spot. After that, just show up about 30 minutes early on the day of your tour. The crew will provide all the equipment and refreshments you need – just be sure to put on your swimwear and bring a light jacket.

Upon arriving, you’ll get checked in, meet the captain and the crew, and gear up for fun. Depending on your selected trip, you may learn about the snorkeling and scuba diving equipment, and then put on a wetsuit. You’ll then need to board the boat as instructed to set off on your day of adventures. If you’re going scuba diving, you’ll stay on the Zodiac. Otherwise, you’ll ferry over to their 50-foot catamaran, the Winona.

After that, you’ll head out across the ocean to your target destination. You can just sit back and enjoy the phenomenal views while keeping your eyes peeled for sea turtles, dolphins, and whales. Upon arriving at your destination, you’ll get to enjoy all the planned activities. Snorkeling and scuba excursions let you get down into the water to explore the ocean wonders, for example. The sunset sail allows you to soak in the picturesque ocean views while enjoying tasty Hawaiian fare, including cocktails.

You can enjoy:

Scuba Diving
Only available for certified divers, their Scuba Diving trips give you a chance to see the ocean wonders up close. They have one- to two-tank dives available, allowing you to go out on the water for up to 4.5 hours.  All along the way, you’re bound to see manta rays, reef sharks, sea turtles, and many other wonderful creatures in your midst.

Snorkel Sails
If you are not dive certified, then the Snorkel Sails are the way to go. On these trips, you’ll put on your mask, snorkel, and fins, and then gently kick along the surface to see the marine life. The stairway to the sea makes it easy to enter and exit the water. Plus, they have view boards, snorkel vests, and other equipment that allows all their guests to participate in the fun.

Whale Watching
From December through April, you can go on a memorable Whale Watching trip along the northern coast of the Big Island. You’ll get to enjoy scenic views all around while searching for humpback whales near the bay. All the while, tons of interesting whale facts will come your way along with tasty snacks and beverages.

Once you get a feel for all the oceanside has to offer, get rental gear for your solo adventures. At their beach center, they offer kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, vu boards, snorkel equipment, and boogie boards. You can rent them by the hour or by the day, depending on how long you want to spend out on the water. On top of that, they offer instructional activities, like outrigger canoe trips, surfing lessons, and coconut frond weaving courses.
