Experience Thrilling Volcano Tours with Hawaii Bike Tour Company Bike Volcano
The Bottom Line:

One of the most notable features of the Hawaiian Islands is the majestic, powerful volcanoes. While there are several ways to see these thrilling sites, taking a bike tour with Bike Volcano is one of the best and most memorable to be sure. It is also one of the most thrilling. You will get an up-close look at flowing lava and feel the excitement of being right on the cusp of molten lava, all from a safe distance.

With a new E-Bicycle fleet and in a brand-new location, Volcano Village, Bike Volcano is now open for business on the Big Island of Hawaii. Now featuring both bike rental and tour services, Bike Volcano is the premiere way to see volcanoes via bike trail in Hawaii. You as a guest can see the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and explore Kilauea Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes on the entire island.

If you opt for a bike tour along with your rental, you will enjoy the professional interpretive services of the Bike Volcano guides. They will take you through fantastic terrains, mostly thrilling downhill slopes or level paved roads and trails, and share the mythological and cultural significance or every reference point. The lush Hawaiian rainforests and the dynamic lava landscapes create their own microclimates that include huge craters, steaming vents, active lava flows, lava tubes, and more, allowing you to experience all Madame Pele (The Volcano Goddess) desires to share.

Although you can see the volcanoes and these picturesque trails in other ways, taking in the sights via a bike tour is one of the unique and memorable ways to enjoy the sights and sounds of the island. Space is limited on all bike tours, so make sure you plan ahead and book your reservation early if you want to join a tour. Speaking of tours, the options you can choose from when touring Bike Volcano include a variety of experiences. The Bike Volcano Summit Special Adventure is a guest favorite. This afternoon 19.5-mile tour via E-Bike traverses the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Summit area of Kilauea Volcano and includes exciting active lava viewing areas. Another option is the Bike to Pele Active Lava Adventure. This afternoon/sunset 19.5-mile E-Bike tour also features active lava flow viewing areas and a tour of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

On Bike Volcano tours, each group is accompanied by a tour leader who escorts cyclists from the pole position. Each group also features an equipment support vehicle that follows behind in case there is a need for equipment assistance while on the tour. As part of the tour cost and bike rental fee, Bike Volcano provides an E-Bike helmet that allows for a comfortable upright fit that is ideal for downhill biking. These are all DOT-approved helmets. Rain jackets are also provided for all tour participants. Bike rental guests can purchase a disposable rain jacket for an additional cost at the General Store or bring their own.

Snacks and beverages, along with safety instruction, and personal interpretive guides are also part of each Bike Volcano tour. Guests are required to wear only closed-toe shoes. No sandals or flip-flops will be allowed. Also, all guests must wear protective eyewear of some sort, either sunglasses or prescription glasses. Tour guests are also encouraged to bring along a backpack and sunscreen for their tour and a camera for capturing the amazing sites they are sure to enjoy during their tour.

Bike Volcano tours are extremely popular. Consequently, they require no less than 48-hour cancellation notice on all tour cancellations. This is except for their high-demand tour season, which falls from Dec 22 to Jan 2nd. During this time, guests must give a two-week advance cancellation to garner a refund. Weather is consistently monitored by Bike Volcano professionals. If weather makes touring the volcanic sites unsafe, Bike Volcano will reschedule the tour or offer an alternative course for the day. At any time, the tour course will be adjusted to allow for weather conditions, the timing of the tour, and to cater to the ability of each person in the group.
