Ok, when it’s hot it’s hot! If you’re hungry for some really amazing and hot, Thai fusion cuisine, and you’re in the vicinity of Volcano, Hawaii, head on over to Thai Thai Bistro and Bar. How cool it is that you can get some of the most delicious hotter than hot food in the heart of a city that is located really close to a volcano. Some might say, “that’s hot!”

But if you don’t like spicy Thai food, don’t get all heated up. Their menu offers a variety of cooler to the taste Thai and western dishes and desserts to make everyone in your group happy. This unique hot spot (ok enough with the puns) is a family-owned restaurant that serves authentic Thai cuisine using the freshest produce sourced on the island. It’s a family affair with Mom doing most of the cooking, Dad runs the business and their daughter manages the day-to-day. Through the years, Thai Thai has become a local icon beloved by all. 

Their mission is to make you happy so when you order, mention the level of heat you prefer in your Thai food.  Everyone’s tolerance to heat is different, so go down a notch. If you think that you are a five on a scale from one to ten, ten being the hottest, ask for a three or four. That said, make sure you have a drink nearby. Whether it is water, soda, or one of Thai Thai’s famous signature cocktails, it’s always a good idea to be prepared, just in case. 

Thai Thai Bistro and Bar is located inside a building that resembles a log cabin. When you walk in, you will be greeted by smiling wait staff who will seat you as soon as a table is ready. There is Asian decor everywhere like string lights, Asian-inspired artwork, and cheerful colorful decor. This will instantly get you in the mood for some really amazing food.  It gets busy, and sometimes you have to wait to get seated.

Appetizers To Heat Things Up

Deep-Fried Spring Rolls
Fried vegetarian rolls stuffed with carrots, cabbage, mushrooms, rice serviced with our homemade Thai sweet chili sauce garnished with chopped peanuts

Fresh Summer Rolls
Fresh locally grown lettuce, pineapple, cucumbers, mint, carrots wrapped in rice paper and served with our homemade Thai sweet chili sauce and garnished with chopped peanuts

Avocado Fries
Tempura battered sliced avocado, dip fried, and served with a side of homemade tartar sauce.

Crispy Spicy Tuna Tempura Roll
Ahi roll tempura battered and topped with honey wasabi aioli, spicy may, and unagi sauce

They have cleverly separated the menu into two columns, one for Western Entrées and one for Thai Entrees. These all are Thai Entrees, but rest assured you can get a delicious cheeseburger, chicken nuggets. fish and chips, pork chops, or a New York strip.

Thai Entrees  (you pick the protein, tofu, chicken, beef, pork, shrimp or Mahi, Mahi)

Pad Thai Noodles:
Thai rice noodles are stir-fried with traditional spices, bean sprouts, veggies, and ground peanuts on the side. 

Sweet & Sour Stir Fry:
Stir-fried fresh local pineapple cucumber, tomatoes, and veggies flavored with homemade sweet and sour sauce. 

Eggplant and Basil Stir Fry:
Julienne style locally grown eggplant combined with oyster sauce minced garlic and fresh This basil

Yellow Curry:
Known as the mildest of all curries, this curry is made with Thai herbs mixed with coconut milk steamed potatoes, and round onions

Thai Thai Special Curry:
The house specialty is made with homemade red curry paste combined with Thai peanut sauce and coconut milk and served with mixed veggies.
