2023 Maui Wildfires, Including Ways to Help

On August 8, 2023, the beautiful island of Maui was devastated by wildfires that ravaged Lahaina, at one time the royal capital of Hawaii, and nearby areas. There is widespread devastation and so much loss.

We are heartbroken for the people of Maui. It is with heavy hearts that we recognize the loss of life, loss of property, and loss of businesses. The unthinkable has happened, and the Maui community is hurting.

Even in the midst of pain, sorrow, and destruction, we know that the people of Maui will rise in strength and navigate this reality.

The government has asked visitors to refrain from visiting at this time. If you have a trip planned in the near future, you will want to check with the local government before proceeding and consider other plans.
