Island Country Market has many stores on Kauai, but we will focus on the Kapaa location. Situated in the Coconut Market Place, Island Country Market has a store, a deli, and a gourmet coffee shop.

Island Country Market combines the ease of a convenience store with the necessities you’d find in a grocery, ABC, and souvenir store. Pre-made meals are available, along with hot items you can order at the deli.

Reviewers commented that the store is clean and well-organized but, like many mini-marts, is more expensive than nearby grocery stores. Other visitors said that the meals were tasty and plentiful. Examples that got rave reviews were the herb-roasted prime rib, assorted salads, and fresh poke. These meals can be eaten on site (there’s outdoor seating), at the beach, or back at your rental.

The store is an all-in-one store which makes it popular with tourists, especially when staying in nearby hotels or rental properties. Everything from sunscreen to Japanese beer to gourmet coffees is at the Island Country Market.

Many shoppers call Island Country Market the perfect go-to-stop for grabbing snacks on the way to the beach or the airport.

The deli menu has everything from breakfast classics to local favorites to burgers and pizzas.

Here are items that stood out at Island Country Market:

Banana Paradise Pancakes
One customer summed up these pancakes the best: “And those banana pancakes are, well, bananas!” A stack of buttermilk pancakes is smothered in a banana caramel glaze. Crowning this deliciousness is strawberries, whipped cream, and syrup.

Build Your Own Poke Bowl
Diners must select either a 1/4 pound serving or the 1/2 pound. Next, you choose a starch or green, followed by a wide selection of poke. A premium topping comes next, followed by your choice of two toppings from a list of ten.

Famous Island Deli Burger
This burger consists of an Angus beef patty, bacon, fresh Hawaiian pineapple, Cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce. All burgers come with your choice of french fries, curly fries, or salad.

Be sure to make the Island Country Market your coffee and sweets stop. Here are some great choices:

Exclusive House Blends
The variety of these blends is superb. For those that savor lighter brews, try the Princess Roast. High Power Roast is their dark blend, while Vanilla Macadamia Nut and 100% Pure Kona blends sound too delicious not to try!

Espressos
They offer many selections, many of which can come iced. Some that piqued our interest were Coconut Mac Nut Latte, Mayan Mocha, and Café Mocha.

Smoothies & Bowl
Diners have eleven smoothie choices like Pink Dragon made with dragon fruit sorbetto, soy milk, and bananas. There are several bowl options like the Island Acai Crunch. This bowl begins with organic acai sorbet, followed by bananas, blueberries, strawberries, granola, and honey.

Pastries, Cheesecakes & Gelato
When your sweet tooth needs satisfying, any delicacy from this menu will do the job! Try a cinnamon roll, a small cheesecake, a scoop of gelato, or an island-style milkshake.

Whether you need snacks, souvenirs, groceries, or pre-cooked meals, you can’t go wrong at the Island Country Market in Kapaa.

Insider Tip:
The Kapaa location is smaller than other Island Country Market, which means their poke selection is limited. Poke choices may be impacted by availability, further limiting your options. Despite these setbacks, reviewers rave that Island Country Markets has the freshest poke!
