Kai Eats and Drinks offers casual oceanfront dining in the quaint historic Kailua Village in Kailua-Kona, HI. The spectacular sunset view you can enjoy from the outdoor seating area is complementary and incidentally one of the best views in town you can get! This seaside locale is a favorite of both island guests and Hawaiian residents. Kai Eats and Drinks is also a proud member of the Luana Hospitality Group, which encourages you to celebrate something every day.
Kai Eats and Drinks believes in promoting the five food groups, though these categories are likely new to you as they are unique to this eatery. The five food groups featured here are pizza, burgers, tacos, beer, and finally Mai Tais. The pizza is cooked in a wood-fired brick oven unlike any other in Kona. The burgers are all made from a blend of local beef. Not to be diminished are the taco options, as well as the largest selection of beer on tap throughout the island. The keg room—yes, an entire room— features 48 brews. Then, of course, there’s the guest favorite Huggo’s Mai Tais.
The friendly service offered at Kai Eats and Drinks further exudes the Aloha spirit. In fact, at this dining establishment, every day is Aloha Friday. Well, that is except Taco Tuesday! The lunch and dinner menus are available to enjoy either from a waterfront table or booth where you can spy area surfers hitting the waves. You can also take a seat at the largest bar on the big island as well and enjoy a bite with your brew.
Breakfast is also available and a great way to get your day started on Oneo Bay. The breakfast sandwiches, lattes, and coffees get the day going right. Of course, if you want to move along to the beach for any meal, you can always get your order to go to take along with you or back to your condo or hotel. Don’t forget to end your lunch or dinner meal with one of the fabulous choices for desserts as well to complete your meal.

Black Magic Marinated Flank Steak
This dinner all-day dish comes with french fries, gorgonzola, and chimichurri.
Kai Moa Half Chicken
This is an excellent, filling choice that comes in a soy marinade with a honey-hoisin blaze. It is served with sweet potato fries, and napa cabbage slaw.

This crazy, big, over-the-top dish (as described by Kai East and Drinks) is a dish that allows Kai Guy to go crazy with the fresh fish.
Kai Fries
There are many types of fries to enjoy which all feature hand-cut kennebec potatoes, prepared daily. They turn these potatoes into “kai fries.” Try the salty and sour, chimichurri fries called the lemon kai fries. The pizza kai fries feature pepperoni, mozzarella, and red sauce. Try the cheese fries with cheddar, queso, scallions, ranch, and bacon.
Huggo’s Mai Tai
The Huggo is a famous Mai Tai that is a favorite of all who try it. It has been a highlight of the Kai Eats and Drinks menu since 1969 and features a secret blend of tropical juices, almond essence, and light and dark rums. The “50 Year” Mai Tai is known as the best in the islands.
Pizza
All pizzas are 10” and made in the brick pizza oven. There are various topping options to try including the Mango Tango, which features pineapple and spicy coconut curry.
